About UnoPNG

UnoPNG is a focused library of free, browser-based tools built for one thing: working with PNG images. Compress, convert, resize, crop, and refine your PNGs without installing software or uploading a single file. Everything here is built to be fast, private, and genuinely useful for the transparent, pixel-perfect work PNG is made for.

Why PNG Deserves Its Own Toolkit

PNG is the one image format most people meet that carries a true alpha channel — the transparency that lets a logo float on any background, a UI icon snap onto any surface, or a product cutout drop cleanly onto a store page. Too often, general-purpose editors treat that transparency as an afterthought: a quick save flattens it to white, a “compress” step crushes the soft edges, and hours of careful work vanish in one click. We built UnoPNG so the format designers depend on most gets tools that respect it. Every feature here starts from the same assumption — your transparency, your colors, and your pixel alignment are the whole point, not a side effect to preserve if convenient.

What UnoPNG Is

UnoPNG is a collection of practical, no-nonsense PNG utilities: lossless and lossy compressors, format converters to and from PNG, croppers, resizers, rotators, and a set of color, text, border, and metadata tools that all keep transparency intact. Every tool is designed to do one job well and to stay out of your way. There are no accounts to create, no files to upload, and no hidden limits on the things that matter. Whether you need to shrink a logo for the web, turn a JPG into a clean PNG, or simply inspect a file your operating system struggles with, the tool you need is one click away.

How Our Tools Are Built and Tested

Every UnoPNG tool is built in plain HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with no accounts, no installs, and no artificial caps. Before a tool goes live it is tested in real browsers against real PNG files, including the tricky cases: high-bit-depth images, partially transparent edges, and large exports.

Tools that users report as broken are fixed or rebuilt rather than left to decay. Image formats and browsers keep changing, so a tool that worked last year is re-verified rather than assumed to still work. The result is a toolkit you can rely on, not a pile of abandoned widgets.

Everything Runs in Your Browser

The one rule every tool on UnoPNG follows is simple: your images never leave your device. When you convert a picture or compress a photo, the work happens locally in your browser using JavaScript and the Canvas API. Nothing is uploaded, stored, or seen by us.

This is not a privacy promise you have to take on faith — it is an architecture you can verify yourself. Open your browser’s developer tools, switch to the Network tab, and use any tool: you will see no outgoing request carrying your data. Disconnect from the internet and the tools keep working, because there is no server in the loop.

We built it this way because the PNGs people process are often exactly the ones that should never travel: unreleased designs, client work, and documents with sensitive content. Client-side processing removes that risk entirely instead of managing it.

Free Means Free

No sign-ups, no trials, no watermarks, and no “pro” tier holding back the useful features. UnoPNG stays online through lightweight, unobtrusive advertising — that is the entire business model, and your images are not part of it. Because your files never reach our servers, they cannot be monetized, analyzed, or leaked. Free here means free, not “free until you need the thing you came for.”
